This exercise is going to affect different people in different ways. If you are the kind of person who feels they have control over the world around them this may be something easy to do, however if you live in a world where you tend to be affected by everything around you this is going to be a lot harder.
I suffered with Chronic fatigue syndrome for three years, everyday was so tough, just to make it to the end of the day was an incredible effort and there was just no chance of even thinking about exercising.
So when i recovered and made it back into the gym, it was like someone had wrapped up a birthday present for me, there i was at 5am on a freezing morning doing uncomfortable exercises and i was beaming like it was the best thing in the world. I still feel this way when i get to gym, sure its tough getting up in the morning but i feel very lucky to be able to exercise.
I also noticed the faces of the people around me, a lot of them were hating being there. They were there because they felt some sort of strange obligation to be there. It showed in everything they did, they were just grinding through.
The difference here was my attitude, I truly believed that being able to exercise was a good thing, it was the highlight of my day. If you are hating doing these exercise routines, having goals and trying to stick to them will only get you so far. If you can find a true sense of challenge, excitement and enjoyment with the exercises, then your goals get easier to achieve.
The one common theme of the guys and girls who succeed at this program is that they all love doing the exercise, trust me - they hated them when they started, but now they wouldn’t miss their workouts for the world. At some point you need find something to enjoy about doing these, the challenge of it, being around other people, succeeding in yourself, whatever it is…. Change your attitude about this, love doing it and watch the results just pour on in.
