Oolong Tea

Oolong tea is has been grown in China for hundreds of years. It was used by Chinese emperors for its health benefits and the fact that it tasted great.

So what benefits does it have?

Let’s start off with the weight loss abilities. A study was conducted in Japan comparing Green Tea with Oolong tea in terms of weight reduction.  The results were that Oolong tea expended more energy than green tea and lasted for up to 2 hours after the cup.

Apart from that it seemed to slow down the absorption of carbohydrates into the blood stream, once more slowing down the increase of sugar into the blood stream.

Other benefits of Oolong are that the tea is a great source of antioxidants, vitamins and mineral as well as containing Tanic acid which can help your oral health.

On a down side, the tea contains caffeine, although its less than green tea for those wanting to be stimulant free, you may want to skip this supplement.

For those who want to add another arrow to their fat loss quiver, this would make an excellent substitute for normal tea twice a day. It’s not going to lose everything by itself, but every little bit helps
